Imagine you’re at internship/ work and a young person comes up to you and says, “I’ve been hearing about Black Lives Matter, but I’m not really sure what it is. Can you explain it to me?” Explain the movement using words that a young person would understand. What questions do YOU have about BLM? Post at least two.
First of all, there is so much to Black Lives Matter, but some people are abusing it. It's was created to build local power and intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state.
There are group of people who created this organization to become the voices of those blacks who are voiceless and lack justice. They are working for a world where Black lives are no longer systematically targeted for demise. They also believe in order to win and bring as many people with them along the way, they must move beyond the narrow nationalism that is all too prevalent in Black communities. As a black person, we must all join to ensure that we are building a movement that will bring all of us to the front.
B). Does Black Lives Matter promotes violence?
2).How does our activism change, when the Country having a RACIST President?
Question #2----- SO IMPORTANT!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteQuestion #1---- I would love to talk more about this. There are also broader connections we can make to other movements, specifically tactics used during Civil Rights.
